d5d028eee3 gitlab: use --refetch in check-patch/check-dco jobs
When gitlab initializes the repo checkout for a CI job, it will have
done a shallow clone with only partial history. Periodically the objects
that are omitted cause trouble with the check-patch/check-dco jobs. This
is exhibited as reporting strange errors being unable to fetch certain
objects that are known to exist.

Passing the --refetch flag to 'git fetch' causes it to not assume the
local checkout has all common objects and thus re-fetch everything that
is needed. This appears to solve the check-patch/check-dco job failures.

97f116f9c6 gitlab: make check-[dco|patch] a little more verbose
When git fails the rather terse backtrace only indicates it failed
without some useful context. Add some to make the log a little more
useful.

7025111a19 .gitlab-ci.d/check-patch: tweak output for CI logs
We don't need running commentary for the CI logs and by keeping it
short we might just see the problem on the first page. While we are at
it flush the previous line so order is maintained between script and
sub process.

faf9828e2f gitlab: skip checkpatch.pl checks if no commit delta on branch
If the current branch is synced to the current upstream git master,
there are no commits that need checking. This causes checkpatch.pl
to print an error that it found no commits. We need to avoid calling
checkpatch.pl in this case.

1f47547256 gitlab: add a CI job for running checkpatch.pl
This job is advisory since it is expected that certain patches will fail
the style checks and checkpatch.pl provides no way to mark exceptions to
the rules.
